GAME FOR VETERANS’ VASE,
Played on the Northern howling green on Tuesday evening, a match for the Veterans’ Vase saw the trophy change hands when Palmerston North sustained its challenge by 22—20. On the 20th head the scores were oven and .Northern’s prospects of retaining the trophy appeared bright, but the challengers scored two on the final head to carry the day. The opposing rinks were: Palmerston North: Aiken, Brookie, Holdaway, Laker (skip). Northern: Johnson, Hodder, Palmer, Robinson (skip).
