KIWITEA COUNTY FINANCES.

CREDIT SHOWN FOR YEAR. Notwithstanding the general financial conditions, tne Kiwitea County Council completed the 1931-32 year of business witn a credit balance, this tact being' shown at yesterday’s meeting of the council. . Commencing with a credit balance of £1765 16s 6d on April 1, 1931, the county fund account finished with a credit balance ot £2848 8s Id, a gain of £IOB2 11s 7d. Tho receipts in tho county fund account amounted to £20,8/5 14s 5d and the expenditure to £19,793 2s lOd. The receipts from all sources amounted to £24,259 16s lOd and the expenditure £23,068 10s. The position of the riding accounts are as follow : —Cheltenham (cr.) £254 5s lid; Kiwitea (cr.) £525 15s lOd; Waituna (cr.) £287 5s lid; Ongo (cr.) £llO 11s 4d; Kimbolton (cr.) £123 14s 6d: Feep-o’-Day (cr.) £216 16s 6d; Pakihikura (cr.) £322 4s; Rangiwahia (cr.) £328 7s 8d; Hautapu (dr.) £l7. 5s 6d. Other accounts in credit are: Contractors’ deposits £1 7s 6d; Government grant (subsidy on rates) balance £291 10s 3d; Kimbolton cemetery £24 Is 4d; Kimbolton hall £4B Is; heavy traffic license fees £3O 3s 6d; Rangiwahia cemetery £l4 19s 3d: Waituna cemetery £ll 17s lid; land fund £470 7s 3d; Vinegar Hill Bridge loan £69 4s 4d; employees’ accommodation loan £726 9s lid ; Haycock’s Bridge £176 14s lid; interest £353 16s 3d.
