FIRE IN MINE.
INDIAN LABOURERS PERISH. Received April 20, B<s a.m. CALCUTTA, April 19. Seventeen Indian labourers, perished in a fire at the Lady Rangi mica mine in the Hazaribagh district of the Bihar province. A forest fire ignited the timbers of the ventilation shaft and smoke and gas penetrated the' lower workings, suffocating the victims.
