GOSPEL ADDRESS.

NEAV BOOKS OPENED IN HEAVEN . “The wisest man who ever lived told us in his records of long ago that ot making many books there is no end, and this is true of the books in the world, for in the library at Paris there are over 3,000,000 volumes,. while the British Museum has shelvings which extend for a distance of 39 miles ’ said Pastor C. A. Wrigley in the Kosy Hall last Sunday night. He continued by saying: “The Mohammedans have a copy of the Koran with covers of gold studded with diamonds which is claimed to be worth £IO,OOO, but the value is in the covers. In 1897 a Mazarin Bible was sold in England for £4OOO, while another copy was sold by auction and realised £IO,OOO. The value of these books is in the matter inside, and the Scriptures written by the men of God are a safe guide through life. “We are told of the book of the law which was not to depart from the people, but they were to meditate upon it day and night and the way would be prosperous, and they would have good success (Joshua 1:8). In Rev. 10:2, we are told of a little book being open which would infer that at some time or-other a book had been closed, and on a study of the book of Daniel we have the only reference in the Bible to a sealed book —the book of Daniel until the time of the end when men would run to and fro and knowledge would bo increased. This increase ox knowledge burst upon the world in the 18th century and continues to thisaay with all our modern inventions. (Dan. 12:4). In Dan. 7:9-10, there is the record of books being opened in Heaven and these are the books from which all are to be judged. There is the picture of the Ancient of Days, the righteous Judge, G-od Himself. .There is the best Attorney in the Universe, Jesus Christ, who pleads the cause of all His people. The jury sits upon the appointed seats, evidence is taken from the books of record, while the angelic messengers act as witnesses (Dan. 7:9-13; Psm. 90:2; 1 John 2:1; Rev. 4:4; Rev. 5:8; Matt. 27:50-52; Eph. 4:8 (margin); Rev. 20:12; Heb. 1:14; Rev. 5:11).
