(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, April 18. The usual monthly meeting of the Town Board was held this evening, when there were present Messrs L. H. Yarrall (chairman) Fraser, Arnott, Teaz, Amey and Wood (clerk). A lotter was received from tho Manawatu County Council, stating there were no funds available for tar-seal-ing the main road at present.—After a considerable discussion it was decided to hold the matter over till the next meeting. Mr Amey was appointed the works committee for the ensuing three months. Accounts totalling £25 wore passed for payment. At the annual meeting of tho Kongotoa Boxing Club this evening there were 25 present, and apologies for non-attendance were received from several members. The report of tho previous season’s activities was very satisfactory, and the baiancosheet showed a fair amount in hand. Mr. A. Burgess, who occupied the chair, urged tho younger members to turn out every practice night, and maintain tho high standard alroady achieved. Donations and trophies have already boen promised showing tho keen interest taken in the club. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr J. F. McKolvie (re-elected); president, Mr A. Burgess (re-elected); secretary, Mr A. Eade (re-elected) ;treasurer, Mr A. Trinkner; vice-presidonts, Messrs J. Goodwin, R. Shortall. W. Davison, Capstiok, J. Aird, J. Will, N. Knight, A. Morcom, A. Gust, J. Boyce, C. Ciochetto, F. Foster, T. Fraser, A. Trcnkner, F. Farmer, C. Emery, B. Frecklington, L. Peupard, Glasgow, Prentice, G. Hill, M. Hehir, Andrews and Son, V. Monrad; instructor, Mr Bert O’Keefe (Palmerston North); committoe, Messrs Poupard, Morcom, Will, N. Knight. Trenkner. Tho club_ fees were fixed at juniors 2s 6d and seniors ss.
