OATH AND LAND ANNUITIES. MR DE VALERA’S COMMUNICATION. CONTENTS NOT REVEALED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (British Official AA’ireless.) Received April 7, 11.0 a.m. RUGBY, April 6. The communication on the question of the Oath of Allegiance and the land annuities was received by the Dominions Secretary, Air J. H. Thomas, this morning from the President of the Council of the Irish Free State, Air Eamon de Valera. Questioned in Parliament, Air Thomas said that it was at present under consideration by the Government. Asked for a further statement on the subject, Mr Thomas suggested that if the Leader of the Opposition, Air George Lansbury, repeated the question on Monday he might be able to give an answer, as to the contents "of the communication.

Air Thomas said that it was not customary to publish documents of such a kind without an agreement between the two Governments concerned. He had already promised publication at tlie earliest possible moment.

EXECUTIVE PASSES RESOLUTION.

Received April 7, 8.5 a.m. LONDON, April 6. The executive of the party led by Air AV. T. Cosgravo met to-day and decided to organise a campaign throughout the country. It passed a resolution thanking Air Cosgravo for his success in firmly establishing a democratic State, restoring order out of I chaos, and building up the credit of the country with its Budget balanced and employment increased, as a result of which Ireland was suffering less from depression than any country in the world. The resolution recorded “vigorous opposition to any policy which, by depriving the Free State of the advantages it now possesses as a member of the British Commonwealth of Nations, will not only injure it economically, but also destroy all hope of national reunion.”

Air Cosgrave was guarded by armed detectives during the meeting.”
