ENTERTAINMENTS TAX.
FRENCH THEATRES STRIKE. Received April 7, 8.5 a.m. PARIS, April 6. All the theatres, cinemas, music halls and cabarets, except the nationally subsidised theatres, are closed in protest against the entertainments tax, and authors whose plays were programmed for subsidised houses refused to permit the performances, rendering hurried changes necessary.
