GENEVA DISCUSSIONS.
MR STIMSON’S TRIP. NO DEBT DISCUSSION. Received April 7, 9.0 a.m. WASHINGTON, April 6. President Hoover, in a formal statement to-day, declared that the purpose of Mr H. L. Stimson’s trip to Geneva was to help promote the success of the Disarmament Conference. “There will be no discussion or negotiation on the debt question,” added the President. However, a State Department official commented: “There will be no cotton in Mr Stimson’s ears.”
