WATER DIVINER’S BELIEF.
UNDERGROUND RIVER AT ARAPUNI. DEMONSTRATION ON SITE. ROTORUA, April 6. Visitors at Arapuni yesterday morning were interested to note Mr A. G. Thompson, water diviner, of Rotorua, engaged in extensive divination work in the presence o’f Mr F. W. Furkert, engineer-in-chief of tho Public Works Department, and other engineers associated with tlie Arapuni works. Mr Thompson gave a demonstration of his powers of divination in. the vicinity of the powerhouse and the spillway, indicating where he believes an underground river flows. Mr Thompson has placed the results of his investigations and conclusions at the disposal of the department. It is understood that Mr C. H. Clinkard, M.P., intends to ask a question in the House of Representatives regarding the Government’s attitude in the matter of Mr Thompson’s opinions.
