NEW ZEALAND LOAN.
FAVOURABLE RECEPTION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April G. Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, expressing gratification at the favourable treatment the New Zealand loan was accorded, said that the response showed that New Zealand was pursuing a sound policy, and it might be taken as a tribute to the Government’s handling of the economic problem within the Dominion. It went to show that the financiers appreciated the soundness of tho policy and determination of tho Government to carry through its obligations.
Apart from tho overnight cable from London stating that tho Daily Tolograph’s financial editor understood that the response to the loan was satisfactory, no further cable message as to tho £5,000,000 issue lias been received, but it would appear from the Premier’s statement that tho Joan has had a favourable reception.
