(From Our Own Correspondent.) TOKOMARU, April 5. Mrs H. Gibb's and family, of Hamilton, guests of Mr and Mrs W. PI. Parr. The" many friends of Mr L. Cant will regrot to hear that lie is at present an inmate of tho Palmerston North Hospital, and his speedy recovery is wished for. _ Mr A. Cron, of The Haast, South Island, is at present on a visit to his home. Miss Stokes returned to her homo during the week after a vacation spent in Wellington. Tho Tokomaru School swimming sports wero held in glorious weather. Tho following were successful in tho principal ovents: 25yds girls’ race, Nona Osman 1, Joan Rankin 2, Aloyla Atkinson 3; 25yds boys’ raco, Meloyn Claridgo 1, Don Redshaw 2, Cecil Todd 3; diving for plates, Don Redshaw 1, Melvyn Claridgo 2; relay race, Nona Osman, Don Redshaw, Bob Voss, Moyla Atkinson 1, Ruth Free, Joan Rankin, Melvyn Claridgo, Fred McCullough 2; novelty raco junior boys, Stan Jamison 1, Burnie Wilton 2, Trevor Atkinson 3; senior boys, Don Redshaw 1, Melyon Claridgo 2; junior girls, Frances Gydo 1. Joy Patrick 2 and Loonie Gilmour equal 2; senior girls, Moyla Atkinson 1, Nona Osman 2; 25yds boys and girls, Joan Rankin 1, Rubina Corlett 2; 30ft learners, girls, Ila Wilton 1, Frances Gydo 2, Loonio Gilmour 3; boys, Fred McCullough 1, Ewan Atkinson 2, Phil Baylis 3; neat header (girls), Rubina Corlett 1, Moyla Atkinson 2, Frances Gyde 3; (boys) Fred McCullough 1 Bob V OS3 2, Melvyn Claridge 3.
