(From Our Own Correspondent). KOPANE, March 10. The members of the Women’s Institute held their annual meeting last Saturday afternoon. Mrs Dawbin presided 'over a fair attendance. Tho following officers were elected : Mrs Russell, president; Mre Morris, Miss Boddy, vice-presidonts; Mrs O. Jones, secretary; Miss M. Mickolson, Press correspondent; Miss M. Boddv, Home Country correspondent; Mre Russell, delegate to tho conference to bo held in Wellington in July. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses for the afternoon, Mesdames Smith and Cornwall, after which j the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem. . Mr Clive Nolan, the relieving head teacher at Kopano School, has commenced his duties. , , . , , The school children are looking forward to the Feilding and Sandon primary school eVents in which they have to defend the Country Cup at Feilding and the Hornblow Shield at Sandon. Mrs W. Meager and Miss Iris Meager have returnod from a holiday spent at Paraparaumu.
