A message from London says that Mr Winston Churchill has sailed for America.
Air J. Murray, a member of the Rotary Club, was given, a hearty welcome back by that body to-day following' his recent serious illness, the president, Rotarian W. G. Black, expressing the hope of members that Rotarian Alurray had fully recovered.
Congratulations were extended by the Rotary Club to-day to Rotarian H. B. Reid, who in his capacity as returning officer for Palmerston had the distinction of being the second officer to complete his returns in the whole of the Dominion in the recent general election. A Press Association message from Whangarei states that as the result of a car overturning near Waimate North on Saturday evening, Air Rushworth, member of Parliament for the Bay of Islands, suffered a fracture of the right leg, which was injured during the war. He also had the tendons of Iris left wrist torn. Air Rushworth is at present in hospital.
