MR LYONS’S BROADCAST SPEECH
NO TINKERING WITH CURRENCY
APPEAL TO AUSTRALIANS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received December 5, 10.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 5. Mr J. A. Lyons, in a National broadcast speech from Melbourne, said: — “We will pay our way with real money. We will resolutely avoid inflation, and we will not on any consideration tinker with the currency.”

N.S.W. PREMIER’S PROPOSALS
Received December 5, 10.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 5. Making his first speech in the election campaign, Mr J. T. Lang, speaking at Bankstown, pledged the Lang Plan Party to an immediate and complete overhaul of the credit structure and the rebuilding on the basis of the nationalisation of banking.
