PERJURY CHARGES.
SYDNEY, Dec. 3. Charles Coward, a land agent, formerly of Auckland, has been committed for trial on three charges of perjury arising out of his bankruptcy. This is the first time the Federal Crimes Act has been used to prosecute for perjury allegedly committed in bankruptcy jurisdiction. The inquiry occupied 17 days.
