There were 1000 women among the 2500 delegates to the annual conference of the National Union of Conservative Associations opening in Birmingham recently. One of the passengers in the Graf Zeppelin, when she left Pernambuco, Brazil, on her return flight to Friednchshafen, was a German who had been stranded in South America, whose mother begged the Zeppelin autnonties to take him home. Excavations for a new road between Museum Street and High Street. Colchester, England, show that a Roman road was constructed there nearly 2000 years ago.
