ABSENCE OF WOMEN. Nine feminist organisations, including the British Commonwealth League, have expressed regret that no women have been included, in the new National Ministry, which step they consider retrograde. They cite the conspicuous success of the Duchess of Atholl as Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education from 1924 to 1929.
