TRAPPED IN POINTS.
REMARKABLE ACCIDENT. A remarkable railway accident occurred near the Sydenham railway station, New South Wales, recently, a man being trapped by the closing of a set of points just liefore a train was due to pass the spot. Mr Arthur Armstrong was working at the points, when the signals changed, and the points closed, gripping his left hand as though in a vice. The trapped man knew that a train was almost due, and he cried loudly for help. Fortunately a signalman hoard his cries of pain and alarm, and the points were opened. Less than a minute later a fast train rushed by.
