“High teas,” consisting of such dishes as “sausages and mashed,” kippers on toast, Welsh rarebits, and various egg dishes are the most popular meals served by the Kitchen Committee of the House of Commons. Man-eating wild beasts in India kill 3000 human beings every year, yet there is less prospect of a violent death in India than in England, where 7000 people died and 170,000 w<?re injured last year in road accidents.
