Tiie recent riots at Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, and the subsequent Moslem agitation against the Hindu Government is having a disturbing effect in tho Punjab, where the fifes of the traditional Moslem and Hindu enmity are likely to break out at any moment.
The situation is menacing at Lahore, the .capital. There is increasing lawlessness in the Peshawar district, and murders for robberv or revenge have grown to one daily. The Congress agitation among the peasants in the United Provinces, urging them not to pay taxes, is steadily growing.
