AINSLIE SHIELD. The Palmerston North Bowling Club retained possession of the Ainslie Shield in a match played yesterday afternoon. Two rinks participated and Palmerston North defeated Terrace End by a total of 37 points to 33. Detailed results were as fpllow, Palmerston North rinks being mentioned first in each case: —Hine, Schwass, Simmons. Paton (skip) 25 y. Knowles, Smith, Rennett, Snell (skip) 11; A. T.ilson. Morris. Boon, Bayliss (ski])) 12 v. Bee, Evans, Collier, Mochan (skip) 22. TAKARO CUP. Palmerston North yesterday won the Takaro Cup from Terrace End. who had taken it from Takaro in the previous week. The scores were as follow, the Palmerston North rink being mentioned first: Giorgi, Croad, Sparrow, Ross (skip) 26 v. Boys, HeLsby, Dixon, Skinner fskip) 18.
