SCHNEIDER TROPHY.

FRENCH AND ITALIAN ENTRIES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 22. It is understood that in the event of the Italians and French not competing for tho Schneider Trophy in the race on September 12, the British team will fly round the course at the. highest speed attainable by the new machines, which is expected to exceed considerably last year’s figures. However, although the intentions of the Italians and French aVe still not known, strong hopes are held at Calsliot that both countries will be represented. It is anticipated that tho final decision cannot be delayed much longer and probably will be reached at tho week-end.

The funeral of Lieutenant Brinton, tho youngest member of the British team, who was killed when practising for the race on Tuesday evening, took place to-day.
