BURMA’S FUTURE.

ROUND TABLE CONFERENCE. GOVERNMENT’S DECISION. Received August 21, 11.0 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 20. Tho India Office announces that the Government has decided to convene a Burma Round Table Conference and invite representatives of interests in Burma to meet representatives of the Government and of the other parties in Parliament for the purpose of seeking the greatest possible measure of agreement, regarding tho future constitution of Burma, and the relations of Burma with India. Tho Burma sub-committee of the Indian Round Table Conference in January last mado a recommendation in favour of the separation of Burma. The primary task of the Burma Conference will be to discuss tho lines of the constitution for a separated Burma.

It is intended that the conference assemble in November.
