BAINESSE SCHOOL.
IMPROVEMENTS DEFERRED. The Wanganui Education Board received an unfavourable report from its architect at yesterday’s meeting regarding a proposal to alter a partition in a classroom and with regard to the erection of a fuel shed at Bainesse school. “I am very disappointed,” remarked Mr J. K. Hornblow. “I have battled for Bainesse for a long time and have been turned down. What the architect says does not agree with what he thought when I discussed the matter with him.” A decision to hold the matter over until next meeting was arrived at. A copy of the architect’s report is to be furnished to the school committee.
