RUGBY FOOTBALL.
MAORI TEAM. SELECTION OF PLAYERS. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH Aug. 20. The New Zealand Maori Rugby team to tour the Seddon, Buller Nelson and Marlborough districts will be chosen probably after the North v. South island Maori match at Lancaster Park on Saturday. The South Island Maori team is as follows-.—Backs, Huria (Canterbury), Phillips (Marlborough), Tainui (Ashburton) McDonald (Marlborough), Bell (Southland), Mason (North Otago), ltopata (Marlborough) ; forwards, M. McDonald (Marlborough), Stewart (North Otago), Mantel (Otago), Manikera (Canterbury) Purdue (Southland), Park (Golden Bay— Motueka), Tom Robinson, Toby Robinson (Canterbury). All are fit and well. The Australian Rugby team arrived in the South Island by the ferry steamer from Wellington this morning and went on to Dunedin by the first express.
