STREET DAY ON SATURDAY.
Attention is drawn to tho advertisement on pago 1 relating to tho street day organised in aid of the funds of the Central Relief Committee. As will bo soen, a very special effort is being rnado and assistance is forthcoming from many organisations. Thcro will ho a novelty in tho form of a Universal Market. This will be conducted by the Sisters of Mercy and tho St. Vincent do Paul Society alongside tho Old Convent in Broadway. A combined street stall will be in chargo of ladies of the Red Cross Society, tho District Nursing Committee and the Women’s Division of tho Farmers’ Union. Badges will be on salo in tho streets and spring flowers in good supply. To make tho city extra attractive the Garrison Band will play both in tho afternoon and evening, and if tho weather is fine a large influx of peoplo from the surrounding districts should assure the success of the effort.
