The committee has struck out the clause prohibiting proceedings in any court in respect of any decision by licensing authorities, the Transport Appeal Board or the Minister of Transport! The clause dealing with local authorities’ powers to fix stands or stopping places for vehicles plying for hire has been re-drafted so as to enable any licensee who is aggrieved by a local body’s decision to apply to the licensing authority, for modification or removal of the restriction. The licensing authority shall consult the local body in dealing with the matter and the decision will be subejet to tho general procedure for appeal contained in the Bill.
