INDIAN CONFERENCE.
ATTITUDE OF THE CONGRESS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 15. On Thursday, when there is a joint meeting of the General Council, the publication of correspondence between the Viceroy, Viscount Willingdon, Gandhi and other officials will give an opportunity for the review of the causes of Gandhi’s decision not to attend the Round Table Conference.
The Manchester Guardian says: “The only thing that emerges with complete clearness is that nothing has happened which really ought to prevent the Congress from sending representatives.”
