BETTING CHARGES.
Per Press Association. DUNEDJLN, Aug. 3. William George Lindsay was fined £2U and Robert nee life Bowles £3O. in the Court to-day, for laying bets on totaiisator odds, liie Magistrate said that he had remanded both men in custody irom Friday last, because he was not satsified with the position concerning betting in hotels, and had asked ior a police report, it was unfortunate that licensees were allowing betting on their premises.
