FLOODS IN BENGAL.
CROPS RUINED. CALCUTTA, Aug. 1. Alarm is being caused by the continued rise in the Brahmaputra and Jamuna rivers, in Bengal. A tremendous area around Serajunge and Rajbari is submerged. The cattle losses are serious. The rice and jute crops are ruined, and tire inhabitants are living in the streets.
