Little, J. D. McQuin, A. C. St. Paul, G. Phillips, J. Burton and J. H. Thompson. Tlie first 16 will play in the match for the cup. OROUA SUB-UNION. The fixtures *br Saturday’s matches in the Oroua Sub-Union are as under: Senior: Kimbolton v. Raugiwahia, at Kimbolton, referee, Mr A. Shannon; Waituna v. Apiti, at Apiti, referee, Mr C. A. Spence. Junior: Wanderers v. Apiti, at Kiwitea. referee, Mr R. Shannon. HOCKEY. In a representative hockey match yesterday afternoon, Feilding defeated a visiting combination from Levin by five goals to three. For Feilding A. Groombridge and A. Packer scored two goals each and Rogers one, while for Levin Hesp found the net twice, Worsfold making the third goal. NOTES. News of the death in Otago of Mrs Paeran, mother of Mr T. Pagan, of Feilding, was received yesterday. Owing to cracks in the surface the Mangoira Road in the Kiwitea County is closed for heavy traffic until repairs have been effected. COMMEMORATION DAY. The tenth annual Commemoration Day ceremonies of the Feilding Agricultural High School concluded last night when the old pupils were entertained at tea by the principal (Mr L. J. YVild) and Mrs Wild. The following was the toast list after the loyal toast had been honoured:—“The Old Pupils’ Association,” proposed by Mr Wild and responded to by Mr J. D. Kilgour, president; “The School,” proposed by Mr N. Fitzgerald and replied to by Miss V. I. McKenzie; “The Affiliated Clubs,” Miss I. Mayo, replies, being made by Miss A. Alsop, Mr N. Bramwell and Mr B. G. Connell; “Absent Friends,” Mr W. A. Carthew. Yesterday afternoon the old boys of Manawatu House played the old boys of School House, defeating them by 11 points to 8, while the old girls’ hockey team defeated the school team by two goals to nil.
