HOCKEY.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July 23. At a meeting of the Canterbury Hockev Association, the Poverty Bay association advised that it would not be possible to send a team to Christchurch to play a challenge shield match on August 15. The default of the Poverty Bay association means an alteration, of the dates of future shield matches. The following dates w’ere suggested:—Nelson, August 15; Hawke’s Bay, August 29; Auckland, September 5.
