MARTON, July 23. Miss W. McChesncy, “Auburn,” Marton, is on a holiday visit to her sister, Mrs R. E. Ryder, Patumahoe, Auckland district. The Marton automatic telephone exchango will be brought into operation on Sunday. In the junior football competitions yesterday, Hunterville 13 beat Ohingaiti 3, Athletic 20 beat Bulls 3, and Halcombe 3 beat Old Boys 0. The hockoy competitions yesterday resulted: United Iv. Magpie 1, Marton Athletic 3 v. Rata 2, Waituna 3 v. Turakina 2, Tokorangi 6 v. Bulls 0. Next week an A and B trial representative game will bo stage in Marton.
