General Nobile, commander of the ill-fated Italia expedition, has booked a passage in the icebreaker Maligin and is going to the Arctic to search for Captain Raoul Amundsen w'ho set out to search for members of the Italia expedition and never returned.

The American explorer, Mr Anthony Fiala, has propounded the theory that Amundsen may be alive on ' Rudolf Island, which the Maligin is visiting.
