FORCED LANDING.
AEROPLANE DAMAGED.

AUCKLAND, July 5. Oue of the Auckland Aero Club’s Moth ’planes, piloted by J. M. Stevenson, mnde a forced landing through engine trouble between Wellsford and Warkwortli yesterday ‘ afternoon. Both wings of tho aeroplane and tbe propeller were damaged, but tho pilot and a woman passenger escaped injury. The ’plane was being flown from Whangarei to Auckland and the landing was made on a small clearing, the only suitable spot for several miles, the countrybeing bush-clad and hilly-.
