SCENE IN COMMONS.
PREMIER’S REQUEST. LONDON, July 3. In the House of Commons to-day, the Speaker read the report of the Serg-eant-at-Arms on the obstruction during the removal from the chamber of Mr J. McGovern, the Labour member. Mr Philip Snowden announced that Mr Ramsay MacDonald on Monday would ask the House to act appropriately. This is interpreted as suspension for the Labourites concerned.
The scene created by Mr McGovern was unprecedented since the days of the Irish Nationalists.
MEMBERS TO APOLOGISE. (British Official Wireless). Received July 4, 10 a.m. RUGBY, July 3. It is stated that certain members of the Left Wing of the Labour Party who took some part in the scene in the House of Commons when Mr McGovern was removed from the House and later suspended will apologise to the Speaker on Monday, and the incident will thus be closed.
