AN EMERGENCY BILL. LONDON, July 3. In the House of Commons to-day, Mr Ramsay MacDonald announced that he would introduce an Emergency Coal Mine Hours Bill to-morrow, which would be debated on Monday and Tuesday.

The Miners’ Conference accepted the Government’s Coal Bill which continues the seven and a-half hour day for one year, abolishes spreadover hours and maintains the existing wage rates. The owners are strongly opposing the Bill.
