The annual report, which was adopted, stated, inter alia.—“ln this, our third year, we may say that the, club is well-established for not only has it increased numerically, the roll being 59, but also the standard of tramping has been maintained. The trips have had excellent support, while more enterprising enthusiasts have done valuable scouting work in both the Euahine and Tararua I tangos. The committee has been alive to the club’s responsibilities in development work and track cutting has been undertaken in our district. A good track was cut on to Bald Hill (Arawaru) by the north ridge and the old track by the south-west has been improved The track from the road to the top of Whariti has been re-cut. A party attended to the route from the bush line above Avalanche clearing to the top of Dundas. Dr. Yeates and others have cut a new track from the upper Oliau to join the main Dora and Arete tracks. In the spring parties combined with the Tararua Club on trips to the Kime Memorial and Field Huts, Mt. Hector.
