EXECUTION AT GIBRALTAR.
Received Julv 4, 1.30 p.m. GIBRALTAR, July 3. Ernesto Opisso was executed to-day for the murder of a woman. Every shop was closed as a sign of protest, the populace thronging the streets while the execution was being carried out. A hangman was specially summoned from England. The last execution here was 35 years ago, so nobody was available for the grim job. A message relative to the above appears on page 8.
