BILLIARDS.
AMATEUR CHAMPION. BRILLIANT EXPONENT. Received April 20, 9.40 a.m. LONDON, April 19. S. Lee won the amateur billiard championshp. Lee has accepted an invitation extended by the Billiards Control Council to go to Australia with Steeples, who has been chosen by the council to represent England at the Empire championships in Sydney. Lee, who is nearly 21, is one of the greatest players -seen in the championship. Lee and Steeples are certainly the best English amateurs, and they should have an excellent chance of recovering the Empire trophy.
