FEILDING SALE.

QUIET MARKET. A further largo yarding of. fafc sheep camo forward at Feilding yesterday, the bulk of tho entry being lambs which sold on a slightly advanced market. Store sheep were also in good supply, but tho demand for these was quiet, although most lines cleared at auction. Tho store cattle pons contained a few races of good young cattle which met with a fair Inquiry, but all other lots sold at late rates. Eat cattle were again at a low price while dairy stock showed little change in price. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: — There was again a particularly heavy entry of sheep, well over 2000 fat sheep and lambs being yarded. Tho lambs were mostly fair to good quality, but the yarding ofewes, with tho exception of a few' pens, was very ordinary., The demand was keen and every pen changed hands at prices on a par with the previous. week. The store sale for a start inclined to drag, but improved later on in the day and the bulk of the entry was quitted. The demand for ewe lambs ■was keen. A medium entry of cattle sold at lato rates. (By Telegraph.—Special to “Standard.”) WELLINGTON, April 18. On tho produce market business is dull, and quotations are substantially the same as last week’s. Wheat is 6s 4d to 6s 6d, but Id to 2d higher is quoted for futuro deliveries. Potatoes show heavy supplies and Southerns are being offered at low prices. Quotations: Good average quality, 6s 6d to 7s 6d per cwt; lower rates for under grade. Maize: New Zealand, 5s lOd per bushel. A shipment of South African cracked arrived tliis week and is quoted at 5s 3d to 5s 6d per bushel. Chaff. —Blenheim, £6 10s per ton, sacks in. Sales are slack and there is an casing tendency.
