IDLE AND DISORDERLY CHARGE,

A term of two months’ imprisonment was imposed upon Marie Louise Cookson, a domestic, who appeared before Messrs YV. F. Durward and M. A. Eliott, J.P.’s, at the Police Court this morning to answer a charge that she had been deemed to be an idle and disorderly person in that she had insufficient means of support. Accused entered a plea of guilty. Senior-Ser-geant YVhitehouse, on behalf of the police, stated that accused was only 27 vears of age, her life of .dissipation having made her look older. A widow, she had lost her husband three years ago and since then had gone all astray, having been sent to Pakatoa from YVollington for a term of reformative treatment last November as the result of drinking.
