SOUTH AFRICAN POLITICS.
COLONEL CRESSWELL’S PARTY.
PACT WITH NATIONALISTS
Received January 3, 12.25 p.m. CAPETOWN, Jan. 2. A conference of the Creswellian Labour Party carried a resolution declaring that the continuance of the pact between the party and the Nationalists was no longer in the interests of Labour, and calling on the executive to terminate the alliance before next January. ... The resolution was carried in the face of a strong speech by Colonel F. H. P. Cresswell. It is not improbable that Colonel Cresswell may solve his personal problem by quitting the Labour Party and declaring himself a Nationalist.
