(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Deo. 10. A general committee meeting of the Bulls-Oliakea Sports Club was Held, there being a largo attendance, and muoh important work was transacted. It was decided to hold a series of six evening 6porte meetings, commencing on January 14. These sports will be open to olub members within a radius of six miles of Bulls, including the whole of Parewanui. Children’s ovents will also be run at these gatherings. It was reported that trophies have been donated for points prizes. The programme for the annual sports meeting, to be hold on February 28, was fully discussed and outlined. Additional events this year will includo two more cycle races, and a baby show. Votes of thanks were accorded Messrs J. McKelvio and J. Tricker, who have again expressed their willingness _to donate cups as points prizes for running and oycling events respectively. It was resolved to ask Mr G. Benson, of Wanganui, to again act as handicappor for tho sports. The bowling match, Foxton v. Bulls, which was to have been played at Bulls on Wednesday afternoon, was postponed until later in the season. On Wednesday next several rinks of Bulls bowlers purpose, visiting the Oroua Club. On Saturday next a cricket' match will bo played on the Domain between Martonians and members of Bulls Cricket Club.

On 'Monday afternoon, on the croquet lawns, the holders of the Bennett Buttons, Mesdamos H. Stevens (6) and E. Wilson (6£), lost their trophies to Mesdames S. W. Ingram (6i) and C. M. Broughton (10). tho scores being 26 —16 in the challengers’ favour. Tho holders, who won the Buttons from Terraco End last season, successfully defended the trophies on no fewer than eight occasions.

The door takings at the flower show on Monday were almost as high as last year, and tho attendances in tho afternoon and evening were very satisfactory. Competition winners were: Mr F. J. Mansell and Miss Francis (Sanson). Visitors state that of all the shows which they have seen this season, the Bulls show was the best, the display of roses being remarkably good considering the unfavourable weather experienced this spring.
