Nationalist and Socialist deputies who attended a Fascist secret meeting were informed that they must pay the greater part of their salaries into a fund to assist propaganda aiming at the destruction'of the Republic. Herr Goebel, Herr Hitler’s principal supporter, declared that the , party would use constitutional methods and was even willing to take the oath of allegiance.
