FIRE AT WANGANUI.
HEAVY LOSS. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Sept.. 19. Fire completely gutted a two-stor-eyed draper’s premises in Victoria Avenue, Wanganui, to-night, resulting in the loss of stock valued at over £4OOO. The premises were occupied by Mr Trevor Thomas, and owned by Mrs C. J. Gatenby. . The stock of a chemist, Mr A. McPhail, in the same building, and Mr H. J. Grieve, jeweller, in the adjoining building, were heavily damaged through water.
