American and Japanese broadcasters are being comfortably received on the all-elec-tric receivers. Employing a moderate battery set on a recent evening,® tho writer pulled in a goodly number of Australian and New Zealand stations. 2FC, 2BL, 3LO, 4QG and 3AR were audible at comfortable strength before 9.30 o’clock (New Zealand time) as well as the following B stations—2KY—(Trades and Labour) Sydney. Portion of a speech by Mr Lang, the leader of the Australian Labour Party, was being quoted. 2UE Sydney was at good strength with records, while 2GB with a wireless talk on “battery hints” was unusually strong. Iq addition, 3UZ and 3DB Melbourne emitted powerful signals. The former station on 319 metres is just above 2GB (316 metres). 3ZC Christchurch, with news information and records, was extremely strong, while 4ZB Dunedin was only a little weaker with a wireless talk.
