PRISON ESCAPEE.
Per Press Association. NAPIER, Sept. 18. A prisoner at the Tokaanu prison camp, Thomas Douglas Forsyth, aged 23, escaped on Wednesday night and set off in the direction of Napier on a stolen motor-cycle. Forsyth was traced as far as Taupo, where the machine was found broken down. Up to tonight the police had not found the escapee.
