FINAL NUMBER THIS YEAR. r ' ___ \* SUCCESSFUL WINTER PRODUCTION. “The Manawatu Evening Standard’s” sports edition, a feature of interest on Saturday . evenings during the winter season, ceases publication this evening until next year. The period -of vigorous activity has now ended, and thoughts are now naturally turning to days of larger duration and the many summer activities. The “Standard’s” edition has catered for everv taste this winter, and ite success evidenced by a demand that has been insistent throughout a time of keen interest in the Rugby, socceiS hockey, golf and racing spheres. Tha edition will appear again next year, And will be found as interesting nnd as informative as in the past. This is the end of the third season of the edition.
