(From Our Own Correspondent). BUNNYTHORPE, Sept. 18. The following scores where recorded at the miniature rifle range on Monday evening: H. Hughes, 70-69-139; A. Pederson, 68-67-135; H. Gore, 66-69-135; W. Salmon, 67-67-134; G. Jepson, 66-66-134; R. Mitchell, 68-64-132; A. Guy, 67-65-132; H. Robson, 66-66-132; L. Burrell, 66-65-131; L Raikes, 63-67-130; B. Cameron 58-58-106. The Miniature Rifle Club visited Ohakea to fire a McKelvie Cup match and, though defeated, some good shooting was recorded, there being only a margin of 9 points between the teams—Ohakea 1090, Bunnythorpe 1081. - ' Mr A. E. Hyde, who has been laid up for the past fortnight, is now showing an improvement, but it will be some time before he is able to get about. A meeting of the" Domain Board took place on Tuesday evening. There were present Mossis J. Scheidt (chairman), R. C. Powell, G. M. Ranson, J. W. Clevely, C. Anderson and W. B. Duthie. The ground committee reported on the track improvement. It is expected that the work will be completed at an early date. A deputation from the Tennis Club — Messrs F. Patience and O. Jackson—waited. on the board with a view to improving the courts and after they had fully explained their request it was favourably considered by the board. It was decided to have the work carried out. Other general business was dealt with and accounts passed for payment. The final hockey match was played on the Recreation Ground between the Rongotea and Bunnythorpe ladies’ teams on Wednesday afternoon, and resulted in a win for the local team by three goals to one. For Bunnythorpe goals were scored by Miss W. Ranson (2) and Mrs Butler; for Rongotea, Miss L. Davies scored. At the close of the game the visitors were given afternoon tea. The local Football Club brought the season to a close with their annual dance in the hall on Wednesday evening. There was a large attendance and the committee made every effort to make the gathering a success. The duties of M.C. were ably carried out by Mr Edw. Clevely.
